About the pattern & kit:
The early bluebird gets the worm, swooping through coneflowers and daisies! This pattern is an SMT original, inspired by historical bird and flower needlecraft motifs from centuries past. This pattern is unique as it uses wool embroidery floss in cross stitch which creates the most lovely texture and depth. You will love the finished product and enjoy all of the conversations it starts every time you pull it out to grab your glasses. 

What’s included in this kit:

• (13) skeins of SMT plant-dyed embroidery floss

• (1) Cut of SMT naturally dyed AIDA cross stitch fabric (approx. 11" x 18")

• (1) Needle set (2 wool embroidery needles + 1 needle threader)

• (1) Solid brass floss card holder with screw closure for floss organization

• (1) Paper copy of the Bluebird’s Breakfast pattern + construction instructions

• (1) Link to an online tutorial with step-by-step instruction to construct your  case

You will also need (not included in your kit):

• Cross stitch scrolling frame (optional, you can also hand hold your project)

• Sewing thread to match the AIDA cross stitch fabric and hand sewing needle

• Medium weight fabric stabilizer (approx. 8” x 8”)

• Sewing straight pins
